POV: You posting “I need help with my WordPress website” in a Facebook group.
Me: Crying and screaming in frustration
For the love of everything – JUST DON”T DO THIS
This tells a website designer absolutely NOTHING about if they can actually help you or not.
A WordPress website can be designed in HUNDREDS of different ways and NO WordPress site designer is capable of working in each of those 100’s of possible ways.
You need to give specifics on how your WordPress website is designed.
With a builder? (Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, etc). With Gutenberg blocks? With Thrive? With custom coding? With a special or custom theme?
Does it include ecommerce functionality? If so, what kind? (Woocommerce, Shopify lite integration, Big Commerce, Open Cart, Cartflows, etc).
Are you getting my drift? Telling me that you simply have a WordPress site tells me nothing.
How can this hurt you? Of those tens, if not hundreds, of responses you get telling you they can definitely help you and you choose one of them. They may get in there and find out they DON”T actually know what they are doing but then don’t want to shamefacedly back out (and lose that $$ you’re paying them). So they’ll try and maybe halfway manage it or totally mess up your site!
Now, if you don’t know how your WordPress site is built then SAY THAT and ask for help discovering that FIRST before asking for someone to help you with it.
Rant over. 🤣
